Welcome to our village...
     Ban Pa Kia is the fifth village encountered along the road into the Mae Tam catchment, and falls within the government zoned Moo 18. Pa Kia means "pine forest". It consists of an Akha section (on the higher ground) and a Lahu section (lower). Pa Kia is one of the biggest villages in this catchment along with Ban Bala.

1. Improper cropping, cash crop price dropped & no market 2. Poverty & debt 3. No school or teachers 4. Household water quality & shortage in dry season 5. Health problems & sanitation 6. Deforestation & degraded natural environment 7. Lack of Thai citizenship
