Welcome to our village...
     Ban Mai Mae Yang Min is the first village encountered along the road into the Mae Yang Min catchment - about 1.5 km off the paved road, and falls within the government zoned Moo 11. This is the only village in the catchment that has a combination of lowland north-eastern Thai people and Akha, which came much later. The majority of villagers are Thai, with good integration between the two ethnicities.

Key needs / Issues
• 1. Household water quality & shortage in dry season 2. No land rights & not enough land for cultivation 3. No education fund 4. No transportation for students to go to school 5. Poverty & debt 6. Lack of Thai citizenship 7. Poor road access conditions 8. Insufficient lighting in some areas of the community 9. Villagers have identified a need for sporting equipment & musical instruments for youth activity 10. HIV/AIDS infected people without assistance 11. Health problem s& sanitation 12. No means of communication (mobile phone signal) 13. Cash crop price dropped, improper cropping & no market
