Welcome to our village...
Ban Mae Yang Min is the fifth village encountered along the road into the Mae Yang Min catchment, and falls within the government zoned Moo 4. Mae Yang Min is the oldest village in the catchment (over 100 years old) and is centrally located. The forest has been well preserved by the Karen community of Mae Yang Min and Mae Yang Min Neua (North). These two villages are separated by 3.4 kms but maintain close relations, share resources, and insist on being classified as one village. The headwater forests in this area have been conserved by strong conservation groups for over 10 years.
