     Ban Mae Tam Noi Bon is the eighth village encountered along the road into the Mae Tam catchment, and falls within the government zoned Moo 24. Mae Tam Noi Bon was originally settled by the Red Lahu. It is strategically located on top of a hill above Mae Tam Noi and overlooks the confluence of three streams forming the Mae Tam River. Twelve years ago, the Red Lahu group moved down the valley to Bala for access to lowland resources, and a group of Black Lahu moved down from Huay Nam Khun to settle the now vacant hilltop. Mae Tam Noi Bon boasts spectacular 360% views of the horizon from it's mountain-top position.
