Welcome to our village...
     Ban Makham Pom is the second village encountered along the road into the Mae Tam catchment, and falls within the government zoned Moo 19. Ban Makham Pom is an Akha village with all houses set on a slope as it is hard to find flat land in this village. Whilst not having flat land, they do have knowledgable and strong village leadership. This village is also known for having the largest cornfield in either catchment - 50 Rai (or 8 hectares) Ban Makham Pom and Ban Bala share the same village leader.

1. Household water quality & shortage in dry season 2. No land rights & not enough land for cultivation 3. No education fund 4. Cash crop price dropped, improper cropping & no market 5. Poverty & debt 6. Poor road access condition 7. No school or teachers
